Monica Ganoe: Hello, everyone, and welcome to today’s webinar. We are excited to walk you through the recently updated Client Accounts section of our website. We appreciate you taking the time to join us today and thank you for your continuous support of Capital Group. My name is Monica Ganoe. I will be one of your facilitators. I’m a manager based in our San Antonio office. And with me is my co-facilitator, Jaymes, who will take a moment to introduce himself.
Jaymes Merritt: Hello, everyone. My name is Jaymes Merritt, and I’m a client services specialist on the advisor marketing team here at Capital Group. And I’m also located in the San Antonio office.
Monica Ganoe: Thank you, Jaymes. By now, you’ve probably heard that we have made some updates to our website, and I have to say, we are very excited to show you what’s new. These changes are part of our ongoing effort to grow with you as your technology needs evolve. Today, we’ll walk you through what’s changed, including a fresh, new design, easier navigation and improved functionality. We’ll also show you how to access the new Client Accounts and guide you through a one-time, quick step where you can link your Vision credentials to your Capital Ideas Pro login. Lastly, we will be sharing with you where you can find more helpful information and additional resources. Jaymes, why don’t you get us started?
Jaymes Merritt: Thanks, Monica. Now, before we get started, just a quick disclaimer. We’ll be walking you through the new Client Accounts using a test environment. Therefore, all advisor and client account information is fictitious and for illustrative purposes only. Let’s get started.
Once you’re logged in to Client Accounts, you’ll immediately notice the new design. You’ll also get a pop-up offering a quick tour of the updates. It only shows up the first time you log in, but if you ever want to take it again, just click the Tour button at the top of the page.
Next, let’s explore your updated personalized dashboard. In the top right, you can easily search for a client as you do today, by name, account number or BIN.
One enhancement that we’d like to highlight at this time is that you’ll continue to have online access to your clients’ accounts even if their mail is returned or in the unfortunate event of their passing, which will allow you to better assist their beneficiaries.
Your dashboard also includes a section for Client alerts to make it easy for you to stay up-to-date on client activity. You’ll receive updates and reminders that are specific to their accounts. You can see here an uncashed check notification. But you’ll also see address changes, completed transactions, updates to automatic plans and the status of incoming transfers to Capital Group. You’ll also find notifications here after applications are processed, providing the new account numbers, so you will no longer need to call service for that information.
Just below alerts, you’ll find the News and updates section. This area gives you helpful reminders and resources tailored to your book of business, things like RMD and tax-filing deadlines and resources to help clients with 529 distributions. Your dashboard will always show these updates and your client alerts. But if you’d also like to receive a weekly or even daily email summary, you can easily sign up from your profile page.
You can access your profile page at any time by clicking on your name near the top of the page. On the right side of your screen, you can access your Total assets & top clients, as well as Recent Top Transactions. This is another way to quickly access your clients’ accounts. Let’s go ahead and click on one now.
When you select a client with multiple accounts, you’ll see a summary view showing the total portfolio value, with each account listed underneath. On the left-hand menu, you have quick access to things like the client’s profile, where you can update contact information, plus their Statements & Tax Forms and a convenient link to our online submission tool. To access or transact on a specific account, simply click on it. The account balance and returns are prominently displayed here at the top. To complete transactions, you’ll use the buttons on the right.
We’re excited to share that we’ve enhanced the transaction experience with new features, including additional tax withholding, overnight delivery options, as well as easy ways to split exchanges and withdrawals either evenly or based on the account’s current allocation. You can also access the client’s automatic transactions and transaction history here. When updating automatic plans, you’ll also notice you can now apply changes at the account level versus fund by fund.
Now, just below this section, you’ll find additional information and resources, including charts with information about the account’s performance and the current fund allocations. We’ve also included links to tools and resources specific to the account type. If you’d like more information on what we’ve covered so far, just look to the right of your screen for the Docs tab. You’ll find links to helpful resources there, including an FAQ and a video. And now Monica will share the steps you will take to link your credentials.
Monica Ganoe: Perfect. Thank you, Jaymes, for showing us those enhancements. Now that you’ve had the opportunity to view those updates, let’s go over how you can link your DST Vision credentials to your Capital Ideas Pro. You will only need to do this one time, and that will be when you’re automatically prompted to access the new Client Accounts. Once you’ve linked your login credentials, you are all set. You will no longer need to enter in your DST Vision ID and password again. You will simply access the client account by logging in with your Capital Ideas Pro login. Let’s go ahead and get started.
To access Client Accounts, you will need to make sure that you are signed in to the website with your own Capital Ideas Pro login. Most of you will probably already be logged in. Some indicators to know that you are signed in, as you can see on the webpage that I have, I have this Welcome back message. You should see your name up in the top right, and the button that you see up here will say Log Out. These are going to be those indicators that you’ve already signed in to Capital Ideas Pro and you can move forward. If you do not see these items, then you will need to log in with your credentials.
If you’ve not registered, then you will simply get yourself registered by following the steps. Once you’ve completed the registration, you will have immediate access to the website. There is no waiting period. But now that we’re signed in, we do want to go ahead and access our client accounts, so I will click on this drop down arrow and I will click on the button that says Log in to Client Accounts.
As you can see, the page now indicates that the new Client Accounts is here. This is my indicator that I am being prompted to access the new version. It does give me some steps here that I will have to complete in order to complete that login process.
So, I will go ahead and hit the blue button that says Update Login. You will then want to select your role. Financial professionals will click on this button, while assistants, you will use the one that says Administrative Staff. You will then be prompted to enter a mobile number to establish a two-step verification. So I will simply go ahead and enter in a phone number here. And I will hit that Next button.
Once I’ve hit that Next button, I’m now being asked to verify the phone number that I’ve entered by verifying the last four, as you can see here. I can see that’s correct, so I will hit the Send Code button. I’m now being asked to enter in my passcode. There is a warning message letting you know that that passcode is good for five minutes. If you’re unable to enter that passcode within that time frame, then you will go ahead and hit the Resend Code button. You will immediately get another one. Again, no waiting period for you to access that.
So I will go ahead and enter in my passcode so that I can move forward with my registration. I will then hit Next. The next screen is letting me know that I will now be linking my Vision ID.
I’d like to bring your attention to the yellow warning button with the comment that does say each Vision ID can be linked to only one Capital Ideas Pro account. Each of these credentials are going to be unique to the individual, and they should not be shared. For example, if an assistant happens to link their financial professional’s Vision credentials to their own Capital Ideas Pro account, it will prevent that financial professional from being able to link it to their own Capital Ideas Pro. For this reason, we do ask that each user of the Client Accounts have their own login credentials.
Assistants, if you need help getting your own login credentials for DST Vision, that is going to be referred to as an affiliate ID. We do have a link to learn how. You can go ahead and share that with your financial professional, and they can request that on your behalf. But as we move forward, you will see the message below that lets you know you are going to be redirected to DST Vision’s website and you will scroll down and hit the Next button. I’m going to be asked to then enter in my Vision ID and passwords. And I will hit Sign In. I’m now going to be asked to complete DST Vision’s two-step verification.
You may have the option to select how you would like to receive that verification code, whether it be a text or email. As you can see, mine is set to go to an email, so I will go ahead and wait for that security code to come in, and then I will type that in and hit the Verify code button. Now that I’ve entered that code, I am being redirected back to Capital Group’s website. I have a message letting me know that my login was updated successfully. All done.
Again, just this simple time that you’ll have to complete these steps. You can then click on the Go To Client Accounts link, and you will be able to access your Client Accounts immediately. One feature that I would like to actually point out is going to be this section right up at the top for the Vision ID. This is especially useful for assistants who may support multiple advisors. You can actually link multiple Vision IDs by clicking on the Manage Vision IDs button. Once you have those additional Vision IDs linked, you can easily toggle between them to access all the clients that you support. Be sure to update any bookmarks or favorites to the new Client Accounts URL as we will be retiring the old pages soon.
For additional help with the linking process, you will see to the right of your screen under the Docs tab, we will be placing some helpful links, including a single sheet and a step-by-step video. But with that, Jaymes, why don’t you go ahead and get us wrapped up?
Jaymes Merritt: That was great, Monica. Thank you for walking us through that process. Throughout today’s webinar, we shared a few of the resources available to help you access and navigate the new Client Accounts.
You can find all of these in the Docs tab on the right side of your screen. You can also visit www.capitalgroup.com/webinfo at any time for information on these changes.
As we start to wrap up today’s webinar, I also want to call your attention to the survey that we’re opening on the right side of your screen. Please take a moment to complete this survey to let us know your thoughts on today’s session.
We also want to share that later this year, we’ll be making similar changes to the investor website to enhance your clients’ digital experience with Capital Group. After financial professionals have transitioned to the new experience, we’ll begin transitioning investors in phases over the next several months.
And just a quick reminder, the first time you log in, you’ll be guided through a short process to link your Vision ID credentials to your Capital Ideas Pro login. It only takes a few minutes, and once it’s done, you’ll use your Capital Ideas Pro login to access Client Accounts moving forward. We hope the improvements to Client Accounts and the upcoming changes to the investor website make it easier for both you and your clients to manage accounts online.
If you need assistance or have additional questions on the information we’ve shared today, please call us at 1-800-421-0180. Any of our client service representatives will be happy to help. We’ll be emailing you a recording of today’s webinar, so you can revisit any of the topics we covered.
Feel free to share it with colleagues who couldn’t join us. Monica and I greatly appreciate your time today. We hope you’re just as excited as we are about the new Client Accounts.
Please complete the survey on the right of the screen. We appreciate your feedback, and we’ll use it to help improve future webinars. Thank you for attending.
