We understand your need for more online features, so we’re enhancing Client Accounts to make it more secure and easier to manage your clients’ accounts online.
You’ll be prompted to link your Vision ID and password to your Capital Ideas Pro™ login, providing a seamless login process with 2-step verification for increased security. (Your Capital Ideas Pro login is what provides access to exclusive content for financial professionals, including applications, reports, events and more.)
Once you log in, you’ll notice an updated design. For details on additional updates, review New features/benefits.
Financial professionals and assistants will be directed to the updated Client Accounts in phases over the coming months. For the latest information, visit Coming soon: Client Accounts updates regularly.
No, these updates are specific to Client Accounts. Other sections of the website, including Forms & Literature and your reports and hypotheticals, will not be impacted.
No, technology within the current Client Accounts experience is being retired and will soon no longer be available.
Additionally, these updates will enhance the security of our website and your clients’ accounts, as well as make it easier to manage them online. All financial professionals and assistants will be transitioning to the updated Client Accounts in the coming months.
Updates to Client Accounts include:
Easier sign-on: You won’t need to enter your Vision ID and password each time you log in, as you’ll link them to your Capital Ideas Pro login, providing a seamless login process with 2-step verification for increased security
Improved design and layout: Intuitive navigation will help you quickly locate your clients’ account balances and returns, and your personalized dashboard will make it easy to stay up-to-date on client activity
Enhanced functionality: A streamlined user experience will make it easy to complete investments, exchanges and withdrawals and to make updates to automatic transactions
Additional access: You will continue to have access to your clients’ accounts even if mail is returned or in the unfortunate event of their passing, allowing you to better assist the beneficiaries
New educational resources: Account-specific information and reminders will help you manage your clients’ accounts
Yes, these emails will be updated with a new layout and (for security purposes) will no longer include client data. They will also start to come from Capital Group Account Activity Updates at Capital_Group_Account_Activity_Updates@service.capitalgroup.com with a subject line that starts with “Your daily/weekly account activity notifications” (depending on the frequency you’ve selected). Visit Updates to account activity email notifications to review a sample of the updated emails.
If you aren’t currently receiving account activity email notifications, enroll here. You select the frequency of your emails and the types of notifications you would like to receive.
There are a few steps you and your assistant should take now to ensure your access is uninterrupted and to prepare for the changes:
* For your security and the security of your clients’ accounts, login credentials should not be shared with your assistant or anyone else. Assistants will need to link their Capital Ideas Pro credentials to their own Affiliate Vision ID. If your assistant links their Capital Ideas Pro credentials to your Vision ID, it will prevent you from linking the same Vision ID. If you have any questions about this process or need assistance, contact us.
Not completing these tasks in advance may cause delays when you and your assistant access Client Accounts.
Once you’re selected to transition, you’ll be automatically prompted to register for Capital Ideas Pro, if you haven't yet done so. You’ll also be reminded that your assistant needs their own Capital Ideas Pro login and Affiliate Vision ID. Affiliate Vision IDs can take up to 3 business days to be confirmed by Vision. We encourage you to complete these tasks now to prepare for the change.
On a future visit to Client Accounts, you’ll automatically be prompted to link your Vision ID and password to your Capital Ideas Pro login, providing a seamless login process with 2-step verification for increased security. You’ll still access our homepage at www.capitalgroup.com/advisor and select Client Accounts. If you have the current Client Accounts link saved as a bookmark, you should update it once you’ve transitioned to the updated Client Accounts.
No, there are no changes being made to how you will log in to other Capital Group websites. These changes are specific to the financial professional website. To simplify the login process, you won’t need to enter your Vision ID and password each time you log in to Client Accounts, as you’ll link your Vision ID and password to your Capital Ideas Pro login and set up 2-step verification.
