Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Midwest Advisors

 

Stuart Berkley is a Senior Vice President and portfolio manager with Midwest Advisors. In addition to his responsibilities for managing client portfolios, Stuart is a member of the Wealth Planning Group, Fixed Income Strategy Team, Manager Research and Asset Allocation Committee. He is also the Chief Wealth Strategist in the firm’s Wealth Planning Group.

 

Stuart joined FCI Advisors in 2000 and in 2025 was part of the sizable team which transitioned to Midwest Advisors, the investment division of Midwest Trust. He has more than 35 years of experience in portfolio management. Prior to joining FCI, he managed client portfolios at American National Bank, now J.P. Morgan, and Commerce Bank of Kansas City, working with personal trusts, employee benefit accounts, foundations, endowments and investment management accounts.

 

Stuart is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) and, as a charter holder, he is an active member in the CFA Society and CFA Society Kansas City, having historically served in various officer roles for the latter. He earned his BA in economics from the University of Kansas and his MBA in finance and investments from DePaul University in Chicago.

 

Stuart is a board member of the Kansas State Treasury Advisory Committee, a group that advises the state treasurer on the management of the Kansas 529 plan. Stuart is also the President of the Bethany Lutheran Foundation Board of Directors.

 

In his free time, Stuart enjoys playing pickleball, skiing, watching Kansas University basketball and traveling with his family.
