Nelly Mubashi is the co-founder and CEO of NWAM, LLC, which operates as Northwest Asset Management, and RIA Innovations, an Institutional Platform Provider. Nelly is also the CEO of National Fiduciary Trust, a Washington state trust company.

 

With over 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry, Nelly co-founded NWAM, LLC in the summer of 2008. Prior to this, Nelly was a financial advisor at UBS Financial Services and Piper Jaffray & Co.

 

As CEO, Nelly oversees all business units and directs the firm’s overall strategic plan, business growth and risk management. Nelly is committed to retaining and recruiting the best talent in the industry and is proud to have a 50% women and minority representation at the firm. The aspect Nelly enjoys most about her role is the team of people she gets to work with.

 

Nelly is also dedicated to helping the community. She serves on the board of directors for Plymouth Housing, a Washington state nonprofit dedicated to providing permanent supportive housing to the homeless population. Additionally, Nelly is the chapter co-head for the Pacific Northwest Women in ETFs association and was a founding member of the 55ip Innovators Council, which functioned as an advisory board to 55ip, a fintech company.

 

Nelly holds the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS™) designation from the College for Financial Planning. She obtained a BA in business administration and economics from Warren Wilson College and a Master of Science in finance from Seattle University. Nelly also holds Series 7 and 66 FINRA licenses.
