Capital Group provides a secure website for plan contacts and third-party remitters to submit plan contributions. Contributions are submitted via Automated Clearing House (ACH) from the employer’s bank account via the OGI website.

Eligibility

OGI is available to the following plans with any number of eligible participants:

  • SIMPLE IRAs (New SIMPLE IRA plans are required to submit contributions through the OGI website)
  • SEP IRAs
  • Payroll deduction IRAs
  • Payroll deduction savings plans
  • Payroll deduction Coverdell ESA plans
  • Employer-sponsored CollegeAmerica® plans
  • 403(b) Basic plans
     

Contact us to discuss eligibility of 401(k), money purchase pension plans (MPPPs), profit-sharing retirement plans (PSRPs) and 457 plans. Plans invested in Class R shares or Class F shares are not eligible.

To use the OGI website, the plan contact must have:

  • A bank account that allows ACH transactions
  • Investment instructions in whole percentages for each participant

Establishment and notification

Complete the Online Group Investments (OGI) Submitting Contributions form. If the employer’s bank account registration does not match the plan name, a signature guarantee is required.

When a plan is established, the plan contact(s) are emailed a welcome letter with their user ID and instructions for submitting contributions.

Yes. To ensure privacy and security, all information, including transactions, is encrypted when transmitted to the website. The employer can learn more by visiting the help page on the OGI website.

No, however, they can set up future contributions up to three months ahead.

No, there is not a minimum frequency for making contributions. Employee contributions, however, should generally be remitted as soon as they can be reasonably segregated from company assets.
