How to use Quicken with your account

Add Brokerage Account

1. Enter Capital Group-American Funds in the window
2. Select Continue

Add Brokerage Account (Continued)

1. Log in to your Capital Group account
2. Complete the 2-step verification process
3. Accept the terms and conditions
4. Select Connect

Note: If prompted, enter your fund and account number separated by a comma. For example: 01,12345678. Fund and account numbers can be found on your quarterly statement.

Accounts Added

1. Review the summary of accounts and transactions added to Quicken
2. Name your downloaded funds and accounts (ex: IRA Account — WMIF-A)
3. Select Continue

1. If you wish to add more accounts, select Add more accounts 
2. If not, select Finish

Note: In Quicken for Mac, buy transactions appear as negative transactions and sell transactions appear as positive transactions. In addition, the Today’s Balance field will always show $0.00 as it’s meant for cash balances that aren’t applicable to American Funds. Both items are limitations of Quicken for Mac and do not impact account values.

Downloading Account Information

1. Select Accounts from the menu bar at the top of your Quicken screen
2. Select Update All Online Accounts…

Deleting an Account

1. Right-click the fund that you would like to delete
2. Select Delete “….”
