Linking your bank account to your account at Capital Group allows you to complete Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. Once you link your bank account, you can:

A bank account can be added online for ACH investments if the primary account owner is also listed in the bank account registration.
When a new bank account is added online, the bank account information will not automatically be propagated to existing automatic investment plans. Any automatic investment plans must be individually updated with the new bank account information.

For your security and per federal regulations, bank accounts added online require immediate verification. If your bank doesn’t participate with our bank verification system, you’ll be prompted to complete a form.
Investments made via ACH generally have a 7-business-day wait before the money can be withdrawn.
For your security, requests to add or update your bank account for withdrawals or distributions must be received in writing. Complete the Add/Update Bank Information form (PDF) and include a copy of a voided check.
In lieu of a voided check, you may submit a letter from your bank on its letterhead including:

Requests that do not require a signature guarantee can be returned to us online using the online submission tool. You can also mail them to the service center near you.
Once the bank account is linked, there is a 10-calendar-day wait before the option can be used.
Capital Group will accept bank wires to transfer money into your account, as well as requests to transfer money out of your account via bank wire. The information required to move money via a bank wire can vary based on the account type at Capital Group and the designated bank. Contact us for more information.
