We value our relationship with you and understand that you may have questions related to recent reports of unauthorized access to investor personal information because of a cybersecurity incident involving InvestorCOM. The breach was related to a technology supplier called GoAnywhere, which InvestorCOM uses for secure data transfers.
InvestorCOM provides print and delivery services to Capital Group Canada. These services support fulfillment of financial advisor requests for marketing materials. Capital Group Canada does not use InvestorCOM for the delivery of investor materials, nor do we provide any investor information through InvestorCOM services or products.
Upon receiving notice from InvestorCOM on April 10, 2023, we took immediate steps to investigate the potential impact to us. Our investigation has determined that our internal systems have not been compromised. We have contacted InvestorCOM to understand the full nature of the Capital Group Canada information impacted.
At this time, based on the initial information provided by InvestorCOM, we do not believe that Capital Group Canada has been affected by any unauthorized access to personal information. We are continuing our outreach with InvestorCOM to validate this information.
