Vetra, based in Bogotá, is one of the largest privately held independent oil & gas exploration & production companies in Colombia. It was founded in 2003 by a group of former Petróleos de Venezuela managers under the leadership of Humberto Calderon Berti. Vetra’s assets are composed of three development blocks, all of which are producing oil, and eight exploration blocks that are in various stages of exploration.
