SFE was an integrated pulp and paper mill located in the forests of Northern European Russia. SFE had a design capacity of 615,000 tons and produced primarily uncoated wood-free writing/printing paper and newsprint, as well as packaging board and other paper and wood products. CIPEF I invested as part of a consortium including other financial investors and Frantschach AG, a paper company affiliate of the multinational Mondi paper group.
