Enhanced pricing for PlanPremier effective January 1, 2027

To provide more simplified, flexible and competitive retirement plan costs, PlanPremier® will be introducing enhanced recordkeeping pricing beginning January 1, 2027, for all new and existing plans.

 

PlanPremier’s pricing will continue to be transparent and scalable without increasing as plan assets grow. Enhanced pricing allows for:
 

  • Open architecture (no proprietary fund restrictions)
  • Fee discounts based on plan features and assets, which can lower sponsor fees as assets grow
  • More competitive recordkeeping fees for larger plans

PlanPremier’s annual recordkeeping fees consist of:
 

1. A plan fee that’s based on the number of plan participants.

 

2. A per-participant fee, which may decline as the number of plan participants increases.

Annual recordkeeping fees

For Plan Premier TPA, the plan fee is $3,300 for plans with 1 to 10 participants (footnote reference section symbol), $2,800 for 11 to 25 participants, $2,200 for 26 to 45 participants, $1,800 for 46 to 300 participants, and $1,600 for 301 or more participants. For Plan Premier Bundled, the plan fee is $5,800 for plans with 1 to 10 participants (footnote reference section symbol), $5,300 for 11 to 25 participants, $4,700 for 26 to 45 participants, $4,300 for 46 to 300 participants, and $4,100 for 301 or more participants. All plans also have an $85 per-participant fee, before available discounts (see next table).
Available fee discount for plan menu: If the plan has a Capital Group default investment, a $10 per-participant fee discount applies. Available fee discounts for plan assets: If plan assets are $5 million to $10 million, a $15 per-participant fee discount applies. If plan assets are $10 million to $25 million, an $18 per-participant fee discount applies. If plan assets are $25 million to $50 million, a $21 per-participant fee discount applies. If plan assets are $50 million or more, a $25 per-participant fee discount applies. Available fee discounts for plan features: If the plan has automatic enrollment at 6% or more (footnote reference double section symbol), a $2 per-participant fee discount applies. If the plan has online enrollment and deferral tracking, a $1 per-participant fee discount applies.

§§ Eligibility for this discount may depend on how automatic enrollment is applied across the plan population.

Streamlined share class options


Share classes R-2, R-2E and R-5 will no longer be available to new plans whose recordkeeping services with the service provider start on or after January 1, 2027. However, existing plans with these share classes have the option of keeping them (“grandfathered”).
