New features help keep participant information current

Keeping participant information up-to-date and preventing missing participants is easier than ever, with new features Capital Group has added to RecordkeeperDirect® plans.

Plan sponsors are responsible for maintaining accurate participant records, including keeping addresses up-to-date, to ensure appropriate plan materials and benefits can be delivered in a timely manner. To help you and your plan sponsor clients with this responsibility, we’ve made enhancements to provide greater visibility on participants with undeliverable mailing addresses on file.

You and your clients can take advantage of these new features:

  • Website filtering capability: Both the third-party administrator and plan sponsor websites now allow users to generate a list of participants who have an undeliverable mailing address on file.

  • Quarterly email notification: Plan sponsors will be notified on a quarterly basis when the plan has a participant with an undeliverable mailing address.

  • Participant website and mobile app messaging: Participants with an undeliverable mailing address will be prompted to update their address when they log in to the participant website or mobile app.
     

To use the website filtering capability, in the Plan Administration section of the site, select the Participants tab and then use the “Stop Mail” drop-down menu to filter by date range and produce a list of participants with mail returned as undeliverable. The email notifications and participant messaging will be delivered automatically.
