Investment Objective & Strategy
As a general account product, participant principal and interest are fully guaranteed by the entire general account assets of Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company, which as of December 31, 2012, were $28.2 billion and include $2.14 billion in shareholder equity and accumulated surplus. This means that Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company holds an additional 7.6% in reserves for every dollar of liability. These assets are primarily high quality fixed income bonds, with 98% rated investment-grade and 30% rated AAA.
Transfer information
Participants may transfer their account balance to any other investment option offered under the plan at any time with no restrictions or penalties. If the Plan Sponsor chooses to eliminate the product from the plan, there may be participant transfer restrictions until the assets are paid out of the Fixed Account.
The Fixed Account is offered through a group annuity issued by Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company, Corporate Headquarters: Greenwood Village, CO; or, in New York, by Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company of New York, Home Office: White Plains, NY.

Interest crediting method
The Fixed Account credits interest daily on a portfolio basis. The credited interest rate may change or stay the same each quarter. The quarterly credited rate applies to all money deposited in the Plan Sponsor’s Fixed Account, regardless of when it was deposited.
