Introducing the New Perspective strategy

The New Perspective strategy was originally only offered to US-based investors. Managed by the same experienced team and following the same flexible approach, the strategy is now available to investors via Capital Group New Perspective Fund (LUX).

1. Bottom-up company selection identifies global champions of today and tomorrow

Through fundamental research, we identify successful established and early-stage multinationals, which has historically offered our investors both resilience and growth over the long term.

Established multinationals

  • Global companies with established track record in generating growth
  • Diverse sources of revenue and strong balance sheets
  • Seasoned management with experience of international expansion
  • May often operate in industries with high barriers to entry
  • Continually evolving and innovating to achieve secular growth

Early-stage multinationals

  • Market-leading companies expanding beyond their domestic market into new territories
  • Often possess disruptive technology and/or business models
  • Commonly have innovatie products or services and/or senior management
  • Scope to become leading multinationals with long-term growth potential

2. Identifying companies that have driven and benefited from changing global trade

For over 45 years, the New Perspective strategy has stayed relevant by using bottom-up research to identify companies that are driving and benefiting from changing global trade patterns, and economic and political relationships.
