Resources to help you navigate fluctuations in the stock market
We understand you may be concerned about the recent fluctuations in the stock market and the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Rest assured, we’re doing all we can to minimize the impact on our investors and advisors, as well as our associates.
We believe this situation, while challenging and disruptive for so many, highlights the strengths of Capital Group’s investment process. Our deep fundamental analysis, global presence, collaborative culture and long-term perspective have helped our investment portfolios withstand past volatile markets.
Given the current events, there may be times when there’s an increase in our call volume, and you may experience longer than average hold times when contacting our service centers. We encourage you to take advantage of the resources and self-service options that are available online.
On our website, you can:
- View our perspectives on the recent market fluctuations and ways to handle market declines
- Log in to your account to check your balance and complete transactions
- Visit our Service & Support page for additional resources to help you with your account
If you’ve never logged in to your account, it only takes a few minutes to set up your online access. You’ll need your account number (which can be found on any quarterly statement) and the last 4 digits of the primary account holder’s Social Security number.
Now more than ever, we encourage you to continue to work closely with your financial advisor to share any concerns you may have and to reaffirm your long-term objectives. We appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time.
