Help with who can access my accounts

Any American Funds shareholder can access your account and include it in a Custom Portfolio View they’ve created, but only if he or she has your account number and password.

A custom portfolio view is a convenient way to organize and manage different American Funds accounts online. For example, you can create a custom view that includes accounts tied to a specific goal (e.g., retirement or college) or to specific people (e.g., your accounts, your children’s accounts or your parents’ accounts). You can save a custom view and access it anytime to view balances, track investments and make transactions.

One way to prevent other shareholders from adding your accounts to a custom view in the future is to change your account password. Remember not to share your new password with others.

Investments are not FDIC-insured, nor are they deposits of or guaranteed by a bank or any other entity, so they may lose value.

Investors should carefully consider investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses. This and other important information is contained in the fund prospectuses and summary prospectuses, which can be obtained from a financial professional and should be read carefully before investing.
