These times, like no other we have experienced in our lifetimes, have taken a toll on all of us. Even as we start to see signs of recovery from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there is still uncertainty in the world.

Understandably, investors have questions about the markets and their financial goals. They may be facing financial hardships, the loss of a loved one or uncertainties about their future. Thank you for all that you do on behalf of your clients and for being there with steady guidance.

To keep you updated on our pandemic response, we want to reaffirm our business support in these key areas.

1. Delivering service: Our service centers are open

From the start of the pandemic to today, we have worked to minimize business disruptions and kept our service centers open. At the same time, our associates transitioned to socially distant work settings while caring for their loved ones.  

We have all learned a lot over the past year. Please know that we are working hard to adapt and keep pace with the service demands, business changes and life challenges to meet investors, financial professionals and associates' needs.

Despite our best efforts, there may be times when there is an increase in calls to our service centers, and you or your clients may experience longer than average wait times. We know service disruptions can be frustrating, and we take these matters seriously. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

We encourage you to take advantage of the resources on our website. You can contact us Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET, or during off-peak times when call volumes are typically lower:

  • Tuesday through Friday after 4 p.m. or Mondays after 5 p.m. ET
  • Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. ET

2. Delivering support online: Our website offers you quick access to your American Funds client accounts

Our website is often the quickest way to get information and access your American Funds client list and accounts.

With 24/7 access to, you can:

  • Obtain fund and account information
  • Submit documents
  • Download literature
  • Access procedures, guidelines and forms in the online Service Center

When you visit the Client Accounts section of our website, you can:

  • Check account balances
  • Complete transactions and maintenance for your clients
  • View and download statements and tax forms
  • Review reminders and client account updates in your personalized message center

To log in, you’ll need your Vision ID and password.
